Experts

Startups & Tech

Speaking of the pitfalls of outsourcing important work, have you ever noticed how many so-called experts there are who’ve succeeded at virtually nothing?

Today I got an email from the CEO of a prominent local design agency, announcing yet another book. This guy drives me crazy.

He’s spent years publishing articles and writing books on design leadership and product management, but he’s never led ux design or product management, or anything remotely related, at a real company.

He’s full of thoughts on how to do design the right way, but most of the companies he advises fail.

Beware of experts like this. Advice, like talk, is cheap.
